A Tree as a Present

Have you ever thought about having or giving someone else a tree? In the More Trees Foundation we think that a tree is one of the most beautiful gifts you can offer and/or receive. In this world where there is such a self-interested and sometimes unnecessary consumerism, it is interesting to be aware of the fact that these tree will generate a major part of the oxygen that one person will breathe all along his/her life. There are surely more expensive an spectacular gifts, but there are not as valuable and necessary as this one. Because of this, we have promoted this campaign of gift trees..

Collaborating in a greater project
The More Trees Foundation was born with the objective to impel a new culture of the tree that contributes to a change of attitude in the relation with our environment. Conscious of the fact that planting and keeping trees constitutes, together with the reduction of CO2 emissions, one of the basic pillars of personal and collective actions to counteract the consequences of global warming due to the increase of the greenhouse effect produced by the human activities, the More Trees Foundation considers promotion, support, advice, management and funding of any serious and viable initiatives in all the possible areas resulting in the plantation and maintenance of trees, as its main objectives.

With your first tree, you are collaborating with our Foundation's most ambitious project: planting 100 million trees in the whole of the Iberian Peninsula during the next 4 years as a natural barrier against climate change. In addition you are being able to embellish the landscape, to provide with food and shelter to many animal species and preventing the erosion of the soil, as well as protecting streams, rivers and lakes.

Where and how
Your tree will be planted on the El Retamar Estate (Alcaraz) hich, with an area of 4308 m2 will allow us to hold over 1100 trees, with their respective bushes. All the planted trees belong to any of the particular types of the area, perfectly adapted to the local climatic anda ground conditions (service tree, fig trees, almond trees, oaks, walnuts, brooms, etc.) and will be cared by our organization for 30 years. The price is 35 € per planted tree and the procedure to follow is very simple:

Step 1 · Fill in the form you will find here, with your personal contact data and those of the person that will receive the gift, as well as the greeting message you wish to enclose. If you want to give more than one tree, just indicate it..

Step 2 · Make a deposit or bank transfer to the More Trees Foundation account CCC 2100-4145-96-2200061679, for the amount of 35 €/unit, indicating your order reference as heading.

Step 3 · We will issue a certificate guaranteeing the planting and care of the tree under ecological agriculture techniques and will send it, together with your greeting postcard to the person you want to make the present to. It will be sent via urgent mailing, so the cost will be increased in 5,60 € / delivery address. The delivery time will be 24h if the order has been submitted before 05:00 pm the day before the requested delivery date.

Step 4 · As we proceed to the planting of trees, we will be informing through this webpage. It will also be possible to visit the estate and see yor tree at any time you wish; we will be pleased to receive you at the Foundation.
