Plant Trees: 100 Million in 4 Years

This initiative, promoted by the agroforest company Maderas Nobles de la Sierra del Segura , fits in the framework of the concept of “ResponsARBOLidad* + trees for a good climate”, and is trying to involve to companies, institutions, city councils and individuals in the project of planting 100 million trees in the south of the Iberian Peninsula so that they act as a natural barrier against the climate change.

It has been calculated that, after about 20 years, ten walnuts may compensate about 10,000 kg of CO2, whereas the native Mediterranean trees get to fix 300 kg of CO2 by unit during their growth.
